- Aarhus: Bo Fristed, CIO, City of Aahus
- Berlijn: Frans Vogelaar, Co-founder Hybrid Space Lab
- Vlaanderen: Ronald Hermans (Smart Region Officer) en Nils Walravens (Advisor Smart Region and Digitization) VLAIO
- New York City: Noel Hidalgo, Executive Director of BetaNYC
- The Philippines: Kris Villanueva-Libunao, Executive Director of SmartCT
- San Francisco: Jonathan Reichental, Former CIO of Palo Alto & author of Smart Cities for Dummies
- Toronto: Alice Xu, Hamish Goodwin (Management Consultant Smart City), City of Toronto
Bekijk hieronder de goede voorbeelden die zij deelden.
Digital literacy
- Kiez Lab – In Berlin we are setting up Kiez Lab a local mobile lab for introducing the digital to all. This are neighborhood laboratories to promote public discourse on the digital future of Berlin and to jointly develop the Berlin digitization strategy https://hybridspacelab.net/project/kiez-lab/

Citizens science
- The Flemish government took a (far) more limited initiative and developed a “best purchase” model that local governments can use to make a more informed decision when buying IoT solutions https://smart.flanders.be/smart-flanders-2.0/citizen-science
- A guidebook on citizen science for local governments was also developed and is available in EN: https://www.scivil.be/en/book/citizen-science-local-government
- BetaNYC navigated this issue with NYC open data. That’s what led us to create “data journeys” — how do use various data products to make decisions. https://beta.nyc/products/nyc-opendata-classes/#102
